- Florida State University Commission on the Future (1998)
The Commission was charged with developing a consensus vision for the future of the University and held public meetings to gain input from the University's multiple constituencies.
- Finance and Administration Strategic Plan (2001)
The purpose of the strategic planning project, which began in Spring 2001, was to chart the course for Finance and Administration (F&A) over a five-year period. In order to chart this course, however, it was necessary for Divisional staff from all levels to gain a clear perspective of the forces driving demand for F&A services now and in the future. In turn, this perspective made it possible to formulate goals, plans, and activities that brought F&A closer to its mission, and thus enhanced its value and contributions to the University.

Florida State University Strategic Planning Committee
President T. K. Wetherell has charged a twenty-member committee with involving the university community and its many friends in the development of an update to the university’s strategic plan. Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Bradley, the committee will produce a draft mission statement, vision statement, and a set of strategic priorities by the beginning of November 2007. The priorities will be the subject of continued discussion throughout the spring semester. To accomplish its work, the Strategic Planning Committee will have a series of events, including "town hall" meetings, sponsored guest lectures, and solicited feedback from the university community. President Wetherell has directed the committee to draft strategic imperatives for the various university priorities and to identify the resources necessary to implement them. The imperatives should be developed by the end of spring semester in April 2008.
Your participation and input into this process are welcome. All meetings are open to the public.
